CONCORD, NC - With the new season for the RLV Tuned Exhaust Products Gold Cup Series a little over a month away April 15-17 at 103rd Street Sports Complex in Jacksonville, Florida, WKA Officials, in continuing efforts to listen to the needs of their customers, have made some modifications to the new Briggs and Stratton Masters Senior Class for the upcoming season. When the new class was originally announced several months ago, the Masters Senior class was for competitors age 40 and older, with a minimum weight of 390 lbs. Since then, many competitors wishing to run the class, have voiced their opinion with regards to weight and age. As a result, here are the adjustments that have been made for the class.
Competitors age 40 and older will still run at 390 lbs. The class will now also allow competitors from the attained age of 35-39 to run, but with a minimum weight of 405 lbs.
With the addition of the new age and minimum weight requirement, Officials have also elected to extend the Tier 1 Deadline for Entry Fees by 1 week, giving competitors who wish to run this class with the new age and weight requirements until Tuesday March 15 to take advantage of the Tier 1 fees. The original deadline date for Tier 1 was March 8, not giving drivers a chance to sign up for the new class, given the changes made.
