CONCORD, NC - Clarifying yesterday's announcement regarding Class Age Structure for the 2018 Manufacturer Cup Classes, starting with the Daytona event in a couple weeks, WKA Officials recognized that some of the terminology in the announcement and on the WKA website at the time of the announcement was inconsistent with the 2018 WKA Technical Manual. Officially, as of this release, the printed 2018 WKA Technical Manual has the most recent and correct guidance for Age Regulations and we have also listed it below for each class.
MANUFACTURERS CUP SERIES CLASSES
214.1 KID KARTS – (DEMO CLASS)
DRIVER REQ; Attained age of 5 through 7
214.2 MICRO SWIFT
DRIVER REQ: Age 7 through 10
214.3 YAMAHA SPORTSMAN
DRIVER REQ: Age 7 through 12
214.4 MINI SWIFT SPORTSMAN
DRIVER REQ: Age 8 through 12
214.5 YAMAHA JUNIOR
DRIVER REQ: Age 12 through 15
214.6 IAME JUNIOR
