CONCORD, NC - Following the TEAM EMPOWER Nationals recently at New Castle Motorsports Park, the battle for chassis supremacy on the Bridgestone Manufacturers Cup Series is at a virtual deadlock. Coming into the event, Top Kart held just a 1 win edge over rival Tony Kart. However, major parity on the series, in which 9 different chassis's scored wins at New Castle, has made dominance hard to come by these days.
Leading the charge at New Castle were both Tony Kart and Benik, both scoring 3 wins apiece. Top Kart, Nitro, and Praga checked in for 2 wins over the weekend, with FA, Comet Eagle, Margay, and Track Kart scoring 1 win each as well.
The first Tony Kart win came in the form of Colin Neal's win in the Comet Racing Engines Yamaha Junior class. Tyler Maxson scored a win later that day as well for Tony Kart, taking the Woltjer Racing Engines Pro IAME Junior Top honors. Maxson roared back Sunday to again take the Pro IAME Junior victory.
Santiago Trisini lead the charge for Benik, sweeping the IAME USA East Pro Swift Sportsman class both days, while Chloe Chambers scored a popular win on Sunday in the Allison Racing Engines Yamaha Sportsman class. Those wins propelled Benik into third in the standings, just 4 behind Top Kart and Tony Kart, and also leaping them over FA Chassis, which checked in for a win with Sam Hinds win in the Yamaha Sportsman Class on Saturday.
Praga made some headway, riding the shoulders of Brandon Jarsocrak and his 2 wins in the very impressive KartSport North America Pro IAME Senior class.
The Nitro camp was led by young Ben Maier and his 2 very impressive wins in the CRPRACING.com Mini Swift Class.
